A gentle, effective approach to healing for the mind, body, & spirit.
Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on manual therapy that uses light touch to treat restrictions in you body. The CranioSacral system consists of the Cranium (head) and Sacrum (base of your spine) which is connected via the spinal cord and membranes (fascia) that surrounds it.
The fascial system encases all of our muscles, organs and joints in our body and is an interconnected web that allows us to be flexible but also gives us structure within the body. Over time tension patterns can form within the fascial system, when the body reaches its ability to be able to compensate for these patterns, symptoms form. CST uses a very light touch to ensure we are able to listen and follow the subtle changes occurring in the body and ultimately find the source of the issue and facilitate long-term change.
Core beliefs of CranioSacral therapy:
As the CranioSacral System closely surrounds the central nervous system it has a huge effect on all other systems in the body, including endocrine, musculoskeletal, hormonal and immune system function. Click here to read more about CranioSacral Therapy.
